Rhinoplasty is a very personalized procedure that can be intended either to improve breathing or to reshape the nose in its different components: the dorsum, the tip and the septum.
Frequently together with reshaping the dorsum, it is necessary to create a better definition of the tip, leading to an overall better projection of the nose. Other times, the tip may project too strongly, and a reduction is the suggested method of operation.
A nose is much like a person's fingerprint and several techniques are used to address the specific issues present in rhinoplasty to be able to give a very personal, corrective and at the same time non-operated look.
As such there are a variety of specific techniques available, which vary based on the concerns and goals present.
The procedure can be performed either under local anesthesia or general, and the recovery period is short -- usually about one week, during which a splint is placed on either the outside and/or the inside of the nose.
At the time of your initial office consultation, Dr. Fusi will discuss is great detail the procedure, associated risks and postoperative recovery.
