Face-lift, which includes neck-lift, is intended to correct the droopiness of the skin involving the face and neck.
In particular, the operation involves re-draping or tightening areas of the neck, the jaw line, the cheek bone and the folds present above the upper lips, which are also known as nasolabial folds.
Several techniques are available and are used to address the different planes and areas of the face to obtain the desired look.
When indicated a neck-lift can be performed as a separate procedure without involving the face per se.
The procedure is generally performed under local anesthesia with I.V. sedation.
The patient recovers at home for a period of one week. Patients are generally able to return to work and resume daily physical activities within a week.
At the time of your initial office consultation, Dr. Fusi will discuss is great detail the procedure, associated risks and postoperative recovery.
